Welcome to the Laboratory of Seasonal Biology. 

 

We are a group of researchers in the Institute for Biodiversity, Animal Health and Comparative Medicine at the University of Glasgow. Our group is broadly interested in the biology of time. We employ a multidisciplinary approach to study how organism code time across genomic, epigenomic, molecular & cellular, physiological, immunological and behavioural levels. We use a range of unicellular and complex organisms to investigate how seasonal rhythms are endogenously generated and entrained by environmental cues, such as day length.
